Nigerian content creators Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and Oderhowo Carter Efe have been nominated for the Best International Streamer award at the 2026 Streamer Awards.
The nominations, announced on Friday, October 16, place the two Nigerians among five contenders for the international category, bringing attention to Nigeria’s growing livestreaming scene.
Peller and Carter Efe will compete against Indian streamer Ashswag, Polish creator Young Multi and Cuban streamer Staryuuki. The nomination recognises their visibility as online entertainers who have built audiences through livestreams, viral moments and interactions with fans across digital platforms.
Voting for the award is open to the public and is scheduled to close on October 31, 2026. According to the organisers, public votes will account for 70 per cent of the final result, while scores from a panel of judges will contribute the remaining 30 per cent.
The 2026 Streamer Awards ceremony is scheduled for November 12 in Los Angeles, United States, and will be streamed live on Twitch and YouTube.
The nominations offer both Nigerian creators an opportunity to gain international recognition as competition grows among online streamers around the world.
