Late Nigerian gospel singer Toluwanisings’ official Instagram account has disowned memorial fundraising appeal purportedly created to support his wife and children, urging fans to report page.
Fundraising post, posted on social media accounts associated with Damitolaoluwa and foundation, featured “In Loving Memory” graphic of singer and asked for donations through website linked to The Tolaoluwa Foundation.
In response, singer’s official account said post was untrue and urged followers to report page. It also stressed that any genuine fundraising initiative of that nature would be announced through official Toluwanisings account.
Post reads: “Disclaimer!!! This is not true please. Please let’s report this page massively. If at all something like this will come up it will be from this page. Thank you.”
Disclaimer comes after singer’s family announced his death on October 14, 2026, describing him as beloved husband, family member and gospel minister under Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry.
Family appealed for prayers and support for his wife, children and other loved ones, adding that details of his funeral arrangements would be communicated later.
No cause of death was disclosed in announcement.
