American Grammy-winning singer Brandy is set to perform in Lagos, Nigeria, on December 20, 2026, as part of the city’s popular Detty December entertainment season.
The singer will headline Flytime’s House of R&B concert at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.
The concert will open a series of entertainment events organised by Flytime, including Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged on December 21, Flytime Fest Powered by Coca-Cola from December 22 to 24, and Flytime Circle on December 25.
Cecil Hammond, founder and chief executive officer of Flytime, described Brandy’s appearance as a special moment for the concert series, noting her influence on R&B music.
He said Lagos had grown into a global destination for music and entertainment over the past two decades, adding that Brandy was an ideal artiste to open the December festivities.
Flytime’s Chief Operating Officer, Keke Hammond, said the organisers planned six nights of entertainment, each offering a distinct experience for guests.
Brandy’s Lagos performance will come after three scheduled shows in South Africa. She is expected to perform in Cape Town on December 14 before heading to Pretoria for concerts on December 17 and 18.
The singer has had a busy 2026, collaborating with artistes including Ty Dolla $ign, Kehlani and Josh Levi. She was also honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and released her memoir, PHASES, which became a New York Times bestseller.
Her appearance in Lagos is expected to add to the line-up of international music stars attracting fans to Nigeria during the annual Detty December celebrations.
