Suspected gunmen on Saturday invaded polling units at All Saints Anglican Cathedral in Imo State and attacked vote buyers, carting away over N1.5 million found on them.
The gunmen, numbering over 10, snatched the money that was being shared to voters at the four polling units within the cathedral premises.
According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen stormed the area and started shooting sporadically before robbing the three men sharing the money.
As the shooting continued, some policemen attached to the place took to their heels, while INEC officials at the scene, lay down as the gunmen carried out their attack.
