A 34-year-old woman, Bidemi Damilola has been found dead in a shallow canal in Mabolufon, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
According to the Ogun State Police Command after Bidemi Damilola went missing her husband, Adekunle Fetiga, made a report at the Igbeba Police Division.
He explained that his wife had left home on Thursday, Nov. 2, but did not return.
The deceased’s husband, Adekunle Fetiga, who had led the search, immediately approached the Igbeba Police Division in the area to report the incident.
The command stated that Fetiga claimed the family became concerned when the wife, who had left home on Thursday, did not return.
Tragically, Bidemi’s body was found on Friday, Nov. 3, in a canal. A plastic bag containing an unidentified liquid substance was also found at the scene.
The command also declared that two pairs of slippers suspected to belong to the deceased were found just beside the shallow canal.
Her body has been deposited at the State Hospital Mortuary in Ijebu-Ode for an autopsy and an investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances of her death.
