Former All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Abdurrahman Bashir Haske, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the Alliance People’s Movement (APM) in Adamawa State.
Haske’s emergence follows the decision of the party’s earlier governorship candidate, Babajo, to step down from the race in what he described as being in the best interest of Adamawa State.
The development comes shortly after Haske formally resigned his membership of the APC, with his resignation taking immediate effect.
His move to the APM marks a fresh political realignment ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa, with Haske now set to fly the party’s flag in the contest.
