Troops of Sector 3, Operation Enduring Peace, OPEP, have rescued Cpl. Amos Bala, abducted at the Nigerian Army Training Centre, Miango Range, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Bala was kidnapped on September 27, 2026.
Sources told security expert Zagazola Makama that the soldier was released by his abductors at about 9pm on September 28, following sustained pressure from troops on rescue operation.
He sustained injuries in captivity and was immediately evacuated to NATC Medical Centre for treatment before rejoining his unit.
