Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful despite ongoing security challenges noting that Nigeria is too strong and resilient to be intimidated by insurgents.
Speaking on Saturday May 30, in Ado Ekiti, the First Lady assured that the Federal Government, security agencies, and international partners are working to resolve the situation.
The First Lady expressed confidence that the country’s security challenges will soon be overcome.
She noted that the President remains committed to addressing insecurity across the country and is working tirelessly to ensure lasting peace.
She acknowledged the assistance Nigeria continues to receive from foreign partners in tackling security threats, expressing optimism that the situation would improve significantly in the near future.
At the same event, Senator Tinubu presented a N100 million Business Recapitalisation Grant to 2,000 women petty traders in Ekiti State, aimed at supporting their businesses, families, and economic growth.
She also canvassed support for Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, who is the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate ahead of the June 20 election, while announcing the empowerment grant.
She thanked residents for their support of the Oyebanji administration and urged them to vote for him in the forthcoming poll.
