The primaries are to replace the governorship candidates in both states, with former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu set to clinch the SDP governorship ticket in Nasarawa.

“We wish to notify and invite the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to monitor the primary elections to substitute candidates for the governorship, in view of the elected candidates who have withdrawn from the race.

“Accordingly, the said party primary elections are now scheduled to be held, as stated below:

“For Gombe, the exercise will take place at the State Secretariat, Gombe. While for Nasarawa, the primaries will be conducted at Ta’al Hotel, Ladia, the state capital. Please accept our highest regards,” the statement said.
