Governor Abdullahi in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary Ibrahim Addra however urged those who have paid to go for the refund where they paid and remain calm, while awaiting further information regarding recruitment of teachers.

“Government notes with great concern the advertisement for recruitment of teachers purported to have emanated from the Nasarawa State Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and the subsequent rebuttal by the Chairman of the Commission over the alleged sale of forms.

“ Considering the confusion this may have caused, it has become pertinent to clarify as follows: That indeed His Excellency Governor Abdullahi A. Sule has granted approval for recruitment of qualified applicants into the teaching cadre in line with the administration’s blueprint on education.

“ Government has put in place a robust process with due checks and balances to ensure an all inclusive and transparent process of engaging the right calibre of teachers.

“ We note that, some individuals have already paid the sum of two thousand naira to purchase the forms.

“No approval has been given for the sale of forms for the recruitment

“By this statement therefore, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule has directed that such individuals who have paid be refunded immediately.” the statement read in parts.
