The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has met Grammy-winning singer, Burna Boy, on how the creative industry can help rebuild public trust in the Nigeria Police Force among young Nigerians.
The meeting was held at the Police House in Lagos on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Disu said the engagement was part of efforts to collaborate with key stakeholders to improve the police’s public image and strengthen public confidence.
He noted that the entertainment industry wields strong influence among youths and could help shape conversations, build bridges and promote better understanding between the police and the communities they serve.

Burna Boy expressed support for the initiative and pledged to contribute to efforts aimed at improving police-citizen relations, especially with younger Nigerians.
