Real Madrid defender Eder Militao has returned to group training after 195 days on the sidelines with a muscle injury.
The Brazilian centre-back rejoined his teammates on Monday, having missed the start of the current season due to the persistent problem.
The club confirmed his return with a photograph of the 28-year-old back running on the training pitch, marking a key step towards full competitive action.
Militao’s return comes after a difficult three years plagued by injuries. He suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in August 2023 that kept him out until March 2024, and a second ACL injury in November 2024 that sidelined him until June 2025.
After beginning his recovery, he suffered a muscular relapse in April and has not featured in a competitive match for over six months.
His return is a major boost for Madrid, though the club is expected to manage his reintegration cautiously given his recent history.
The technical crew and medical staff will closely monitor his response in training, with a gradual return to full first-team involvement planned to minimise the risk of another setback.
