The Assistant Director from the Office of the Special Adviser on Local Government Inspectorate, Alhaji Mukhtar Shehu, conducted the Governor round for the inspection while explaining the assembly process, specifications, and maintenance plan for the tricycles.

Governor Radda examined the quality, durability, and suitability of the tricycles for both urban and rural terrains across the state. He commended the team for the standard of work and urged them to maintain quality control as assembly continues.

The state government is expected to distribute 361 tricycles, one for each of the 361 wards across the 34 Local Government Areas of the state. The intervention is designed to improve mobility, ease transportation challenges at the grassroots, and support service delivery.

It is essential to note that arrangement have been put in place to deploy some of the tricycles in support of the Primary Healthcare Development Agency in reaching remote communities, transporting medical supplies, and facilitating health outreaches. Others will be allocated to local government structures to enhance supervision and community engagement.

Governor Radda assured that the initiative aligns with his administration’s commitment to grassroots development, improved healthcare access, and job creation for youths.

The Governor further directed relevant agencies to develop a transparent and accountable framework for allocation, operation, and maintenance to ensure the tricycles serve their intended purpose for years to come.
