A suspected leader of a robbery gang simply identified as Getay has been killed by the police in Warri South council of Delta state.
Police spokesperson in the state, Edafe Bright who confirmed the incident said operatives of ‘B’ Division, Warri patrol team shot and wounded the notorious armed robber on Friday February 25 during a shootout.
“In the ensuing gun duel, Getay who is the leader of the gang, sustained gunshot injuries and was taken to the hospital where he gave up the ghost while receiving treatment”
The police spokesperson also said the command rescued a kidnapped victim at Ewhrekekan Junction in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.
