Nigerian dancer and singer, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is currently on remand in a United Kingdom prison over an alleged sexual offence.
UK-based Nigerian community advocate, Oluomo of Derby, confirmed the development in posts on X, stating that Poco Lee’s next court appearance is scheduled for the second week of September 2026.
According to Oluomo, the upcoming hearing is expected to be a plea hearing, where the defendant will indicate whether he pleads guilty or not guilty to the charge.
He described the case as serious and noted that only limited details can be disclosed publicly at this stage. Oluomo added that if Poco Lee pleads not guilty, the trial may not hold until next year. He also said bail may be denied if authorities consider the artiste a flight risk.
“I can confirm that Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison. His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” Oluomo stated.
He further said he would attend the proceedings to support the Nigerian community in the UK and ensure Poco Lee gets appropriate assistance during the legal process.
“It is important that we allow the legal process to take its course. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” he added.
News of Poco Lee’s arrest first surfaced on August 19, 2026. As of press time, UK police and the court have not released official statements, and Poco Lee has not made any public comment on the allegations.
