The Chief Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission, PCC, Bashir Abubakar has announced the full implementation of the Consolidated Legislative Salary Structure, CONLESS, for staff of the Commission, ending the regime of half-salary payments.
In a notification issued on August 7, 2026, Abubakar said the new structure takes effect from the July 2026 salary payment.
He expressed appreciation for the patience, resilience, and commitment of officers at the Commission’s Headquarters and State Offices despite prolonged financial and welfare challenges, noting that their dedication ensured the Commission continued to provide administrative justice to Nigerians.
The Chief Commissioner attributed the development to sustained engagements with the Presidency, National Assembly, Budget Office of the Federation, and Federal Ministry of Finance. He said the engagements led to an increase in the Commission’s Medium-Term Expenditure Framework allocation and approval of an intervention fund.
Abubakar urged staff to reciprocate with professionalism, integrity, and transparency.
He also reaffirmed commitment to clearing outstanding entitlements and improving working conditions as more funds become available.
