The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi has sought expanded international training opportunities for personnel of the Corps.
Audi made the request during a high-level virtual meeting with the Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organisation, ICDO, Mr. Arguj Kalantarli.
The engagement focused on expanding international training, capacity-building and professional development opportunities for NSCDC personnel, in line with the Commandant General’s commitment to building a highly skilled, globally competitive and modern Civil Defence Corps.

The Commandant General emphasised the importance of exposing Corps personnel to global best practices, emerging technologies and contemporary approaches to disaster management, civil protection and critical national infrastructure security.
The meeting further underscores the NSCDC’s increasing focus on strategic international partnerships as a pathway to professional excellence and enhanced service delivery to Nigerians.
