The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control,NCDC on Saturday confirmed 160 new cases of coronavirus in the country.
The new cases according to the agency’s late night tweet was recorded in 12 states including the federal capital territory.
Of the 160 new cases,the FCT and Plateau State recorded the highest with 39 new Infections respectively followed by Lagos with 30 new cases.
Other States with new cases are: Kaduna-23, Katsina-7,Rivers-6,Oyo-6,Yobe-3, Benue-3,Bayelsa-1,Abia-1,Edo-1 and Ekiti with one new case .
As at Saturday 56,177 cases have been confirmed in the country of which 44,088 have recovered and have discharged from different isolation centres.
However a total of 1,078 have lost their lives to the virus.
