Nigeria on Saturday recorded 136 new cases of the novel coronavirus, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The health agency, in a late-night tweet, also noted that three more deaths had been recorded within the past 24 hours.
The 136 cases recorded on Saturday were from 16 states and the federal capital territory with Lagos leading with 41 new cases.

Other states are Ogun -27, Rivers -19, Abia -10, Oyo -6, Plateau – 6, Bauchi – 5 Ondo -5, Ekiti -4, Kaduna -4, Edo -3, Ebonyi – 2, Bayelsa – 1, Delta -1, Osun -1, and Yobe -1.
The new numbers mean the country has now recorded a total of 58,198 cases of COVID-19 with 49,722 cases of recoveries and 1,106 deaths across the country.
