The Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, AIG Auwal Musa Muhammad, has paid his first official visit to the Zone One Police Headquarters and the Kano State Police Command.
The visit on September 3, 2026, marks a significant step toward strengthening institutional relationships and enhancing regional security.
AIG Auwal, the 25th Commandant of the Academy, was first received at the Zone One Headquarters by AIG Ahmed Garba, who oversees the Zone. Both officers, described as longstanding friends and coursemates, pledged closer collaboration on security initiatives and operational support for the Academy.
The delegation later proceeded to the Kano State Police Command Headquarters where they were received by the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori.
CP Bakori reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to the safety and security of the Academy and pledged to sustain the existing partnership to ensure a secure environment for training future law enforcement officers.
In his remarks, AIG Auwal expressed gratitude for the support and reiterated the Academy’s commitment to maintaining and strengthening ties with commands within its region.
The visit is the first official tour of both formations since AIG Auwal assumed leadership of the Academy.
