National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, over the weekend hosted leaders and former colleagues of the old Alliance for Democracy, AD.
The gathering brought together some of the founding figures of the AD, providing an opportunity to reconnect, relive shared memories and reflect on their collective role in Nigeria’s democratic journey.
In remarks at the meeting, Senator Dickson honoured the memory of departed leaders of the party and reaffirmed the enduring value of principled and ideological politics in strengthening Nigeria’s democracy.
Participants described the reunion as significant in preserving the ideals that guided the AD, with emphasis on unity, service and commitment to democratic values.
The NDC leader said the lessons of the AD era remain relevant as Nigeria continues to deepen its democratic practice.
