The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control WhatNCDC on Sunday confirmed 86 new case of COVID19 in the country as the daily cases continues on a downward trend.
According to the health agency no death was recorded as the death toll stayed at 2,030.
The 86 new cases confirmed on Sunday were reported in seven States with FCT leading with thirty three new cases followed by Lagos with twenty eight.
Other States are Ondo with eleven, Kano recorded seven, Akwa Ibom and Rivers reported three each and Kaduna had one new infection.
Even though 161,737 cases have been confirmed across the country since the outbreak over a year ago, 147,899 have been successfully treated and discharged leaving 13,838 active cases across the 36States.
The health agency noted that Sunday’s 124 discharges includes 29 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
