President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Dr. Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu, has extended humanitarian and welfare support to teachers, widows of fallen heroes and members of the Nigerian Army Soldiers’ Wives Association (NASWA) in Kaduna State.
Dr. Shaibu, who toured NAOWA facilities last week, including schools and the Skills Acquisition Centre, commended teachers for their dedication to the education and empowerment of military families. She presented cash rewards and relief materials in recognition of their efforts.
She also held a special engagement with widows of fallen heroes, where she expressed solidarity and reaffirmed NAOWA’s commitment to their welfare, presenting cash gifts and humanitarian assistance to the families.
In a similar gesture, the NAOWA President commended NASWA members for their resilience and role in maintaining a stable home front while their spouses discharge constitutional duties, presenting gifts to appreciate their sacrifices.
NAOWA Liaison Officer, Captain Jemila Jimoh, said the engagements reflect Dr. Shaibu’s vision of building “a united and innovative NAOWA that would empower military families through self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.”
According to her, the interventions demonstrate the association’s commitment to responding to the immediate needs of military families while creating sustainable opportunities to improve their livelihoods.
