Prince Kayode Adebambo Aroloye has congratulated Prince Mayowa Toluade Aroloye on his selection as the Owa-elect of Idanre.
In a congratulatory letter dated November 4, 2026, Prince Kayode described the selection process as keenly contested, noting that as with every contest, a winner must emerge.
“My very dear brother, I write to sincerely congratulate you on your selection to the throne of our forefathers, Owa of Idanre,” he said.
He said Idanre expects so much from its Oba at this time, considering the yearning for development, especially when compared with sister towns that share similar historical backgrounds.
“I pray for strength, wisdom, and strong ability for you to meet and surpass all expectations,” he said.
Prince Kayode pledged his support to the Owa-elect, adding: “I seize this opportunity to let you know that you have my support as I pray: may your reign be long.”
Prince Mayowa Aroloye emerged as Owa-elect on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, after securing seven of the eight votes cast by the kingmakers, defeating six other princes.
His emergence ended a vacancy of more than two years on the throne, following the death of Oba Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, the 26th Owa of Idanre, in July 2024 at the age of 102 after a 48-year reign
