A two-storey building has collapsed in the Isale Eko area of Lagos State, leaving many people trapped in the rubbles.

The building collapsed at No. 15, Iga Iduganran, close to the Oba of Lagos’s palace.

The incident which caused fear and panic in the area was said to have occured on Thursday.

The integrity of the building is said to have been compromised following a fire in parts of Dosunmu Market on Lagos Island.

The Lagos Territorial Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye who confirmed the incident, said 14 other buildings were seriously impacted by the fire.
