Kano State Executive Council Members on Friday were vaccinated under the directive of the Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, at Council Meeting, in an effort to further rid the State of COVID19 pandemic.
After his vaccination during the flag-off exercise, few days back at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, he directed that local government chairmen take lead in their respective local governments, before administering it down to members of the society.
Some of the Commissioners who were vaccinated alongside the governor when he flagged-off the exercise and some of them who took part during the flag-off in their respective local governments, did not take part in today’s vaccination exercise during the Exco meeting.
Also included in the vaccination exercise during the Exco meeting were other members of the State Executive Council and Governor’s Aides.
Governor Ganduje assured that the state would make good use of the vaccination exercise to hasten the process for “…isolating COVID-19 pandemic in the state.”
“We are calling on people to cooperate with health workers who are responsible for the exercise, adding that, “So far so good, we have started on sound footing. As far as this exercise is concerned,” he said.
He further assured that, the Vaccine is safe and aimed at strengthening and consolidating “…our fight against COVID-19 pandemic. By the Special Grace of Almighty Allah we are going to win the fight against this virus,” he encouraged.
