….Tinubu Suspends Three Perm Secs, Orders Forensic Audit
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Commission, ICPC, has uncovered another fake government agency operating within the premises of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.
The ICPC Chairman, Musa Aliyu, disclosed this on Friday, August 21, 2026.
He named one Prince George Buchi Nwabueze as the alleged promoter of the unlawful office.
According to the commission, the agency operated under the name ‘National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office’ and was illegally allocated office space within the SGF complex.
The discovery came during investigations into an earlier fake body, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC, which also led to the uncovering of two other fake agencies.
Following the development, President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate arrest of Nwabueze and the suspension of three Permanent Secretaries in the SGF office: M.S. Danjuma, Nadungu Gagare and Richard P. Pheelangwah.
The President also directed a forensic audit of government processes and procedures.
The ICPC said investigations into the matter are ongoing.
