President Buhari has lost 100,000 followers on Twitter and he may lose more as Nigerians continue to protests and mount pressure on him to disband the Federal Special Anti- Robbery Squad, FSARS.

Youths have taken to the streets since Thursday calling for the scrapping of SARS nationwide but President Buhari on Friday met with the IGP assuring that government will reform the police outfit but that seems not to be enough as Nigerians are calling for the total removal of the unit known for extra-judicial killings, harassment and torturing of youths.

The campaign however seems to work as one hour after the post President Buhari’s followers dropped by 100,000 from 3.5m to 3.4m.

Dear Nigerians,

When I started the #UnfollowBuhari campaign as part of my #EndSARS protest, some laughed. Well, look. In just 1 hour, we have reduced Buhari’s following by 100,000. Never underestimate your influence. When Nigerians wake up, government will be afraid of us! pic.twitter.com/5buU0wX2xL
