An emotional video has surfaced online showing Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, breaking down in tears while receiving a congratulatory call from his nephew, singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.
Shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Governor Adeleke winner of the August 15 governorship election, Davido placed a call to congratulate him.
In the video, the governor became emotional during the conversation and asked the singer, who is out of the country, to return home quickly so he could give him a hug.
Davido responded that he would be back on Monday, August 17.
The moment has since drawn widespread reactions online, with many describing it as a touching display of family bond and gratitude following the governor’s re-election victory.
