Imole Campaign Council has pledged to deliver 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in Osun State in 2027 presidential election following appointment of Governor Ademola Adeleke as state coordinator of President’s re-election campaign.
The Council said it would mobilise all structures of Accord Party in Osun to support Tinubu, expressing confidence that Adeleke would justify confidence reposed in him by President.
In a statement signed by its Director-General, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, council described Adeleke’s appointment to Presidential Campaign Council as well deserved.
It said the governor’s leadership and political influence would be instrumental in securing victory for Tinubu in state.
“The appointment is a well-deserved one. We assure the President that his confidence in ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in presidential election will not be misplaced,” statement said.
The Council recalled Adeleke’s earlier pledge to deliver 1.5 million votes for Tinubu, insisting that it remained committed to achieving target.
It also called on Osun residents to continue supporting governor, arguing that backing Tinubu’s re-election would reinforce Adeleke’s administration and its development agenda.
“Our message to people of Osun State is to keep trusting and supporting Governor Adeleke as he continues to deliver on his campaign promises. A vote for President Tinubu is a support for Governor Adeleke,” Oyewumi said.
Pledge signals emerging political alignment between Adeleke’s camp and APC-led presidential re-election campaign ahead of 2027 general election.
However, proposed 1.5 million votes remain campaign target, with actual outcome dependent on voter turnout, political mobilisation and electorate’s choices at polls.
