Nigeria on Monday confirmed 118 new cases of the coronavirus even as the overall cases in the country hit 61,558.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC),said the new cases were recorded in nine states and the federal capital territory .
Announcing this on it’s official Twitter handle,the health agency said 86 patients were also discharged from isolation centers across the country.
Laogos recorded the highest number of Infections with 51 new cases followed by Rivers with 26 new cases.
Others states with new Infections are; Imo-12, Osun-8, Plateau-6, FCT-5, Kaduna-4, Ogun-3, Edo-2, Niger-1
According to the agency,5(6,697 have recovered from the virus across the country while 1,125 have lost their lives.
