The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 1,024 new COVID-19 cases, evens as cases of the coronavirus now exceed 100,000.
According to the latest figures by the health agency the new cases were confirmed on Sunday in 16 States and the Federal Capital Territory moving the total confirmed cases to 100,087 with Lagos recording the highest with 653 new cases.
Other states with new cases are; Plateau-63,
Benue-48, Zamfara-45, FCT-42, Rivers-27,
Ondo-26, Adamawa-26, Kaduna-22, Edo-18
Ogun-16, Imo-12, Kano-9, Yobe-6, Ekiti-5
Jigawa-4 and Osun-2
The health agency also stated that out of the total 100,087 COVID-19 cases, 80,030 patients have recovered and have been discharged leaving 18,699 active cases with Lagos and FCT having 6,858 and 5,563 respectively.
The Agency also confirmed 8 Deaths in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,358 across the country.
