In a statement on Monday, authorities said qualified international professionals can access various immigration pathways to work and settle in communities across the country.

The recruitment drive covers science, technology, engineering and mathematics, STEM, healthcare, skilled trades, defence and cybersecurity, critical minerals, and education.

Canada said it is particularly seeking healthcare and social service professionals to address gaps within its healthcare system. Roles in demand include nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists and social workers.

According to the government, professionals with the required training, credentials and work experience can explore available immigration streams to build careers in Canada.

The country is also highlighting benefits for international talent, including career opportunities with a wide range of employers and settlement services to help newcomers integrate.

Canada said immigrants can benefit from safe and stable communities, quality education and training, and a multicultural environment that embraces diversity in people, ideas and languages.

French-speaking newcomers will also have access to dedicated community services to support settlement and integration.

The initiative comes as Canada continues to attract skilled workers to strengthen its labour force and support sectors considered critical to the country’s economy.
