The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has won the just concluded presidential election in Yobe State.

He defeated his closest challenger, All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with 47,108 votes.

According to results from the 17 local government areas collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the state on Sunday, Atiku polled the highest votes with 198,567 votes, while Tinubu got 151,459 votes.

The collation of the results chaired by the state presidential returning officer, Prof. Umaru Pate, also revealed that the candidate of the NNPP, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, came third with 18,270 votes.

Other details of the results showed that LP scored 2,406 votes, APGA 875 and YPP 630 votes, respectively.
