The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu has been declared winner of the presidential election held in Rivers state on Saturday, February 25.

According to INEC results, Wike polled a total of 231,593 votes to defeat Peter Obi of the Labour party who polled a total of 175,555 votes.

Results from 21 local government areas had earlier put Labour Party’s Peter Obi in lead but when the results from two other local governments, one of them being Wike’s Obio-Akpor, were later received and imputed, the figures changed drastically in favour of Tinubu.
