The Nigerian army has announced that all its seven officials, including Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, who died in Friday’s plane crash in Kaduna will be buried today.
Director of Army PR, Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima made the announcement in a statement today.
“The Burial proceedings of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Late Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru and 6 other senior officers who lost their lives in an air mishap in Kaduna is slated for today Saturday, 22 May 21”, Yerima said
“It will commence at the National Mosque and National Christian Centre, Abuja by 1000hrs respectively.
“Consequently, the interment for the late COAS and 6 other senior officers will take place at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja today by 1300hrs”.
The officers to be buried are Brig Gen. M. I Abdulkadir, Brig Gen Olayinka, Brig Gen. Kuliya, Maj. L. A Hayat , Maj. Nura Hamza and Sgt. Umar.
The Air Force is yet to announce burial plans for its men: Flt Lt. T.O Asaniyi, Flt. Lt. A.A Saniyi, Flt. Lt. A.A Olufade, Sgt Adesina and ACM Oyedepo.
