She noted that defining roles and responsibilities of State, Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as establishing an ODF Secretariat in all states will help in achieving Federal government agenda of ending open defecation by 2025.

Thakkar lamented that so far only six states of Osun, Benue, Katsina, Ekiti, Ondo and Kwara have flagged off the States campaign for ‘Clean Nigeria: Use the toilet ,two years after it was launched.

While noting that an open defecation free Nigeria is “Everyone’s business” ,she called on private sectors, developing partners and all other stakeholders to collaborate with government towards in achieving an “ODF Nigeria”.
