Police said investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding their release and to obtain information that could assist the probe.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, has directed intensified intelligence-led operations and a manhunt for those responsible for the abduction.

The operation is being carried out jointly by the Police, Department of State Services, military, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Agunechemba Security Operatives and other relevant security agencies.

The Command urged residents to remain vigilant and provide credible information that could help security agencies identify and apprehend the perpetrators.

It also thanked members of the public for their support and cooperation as investigations continue.
