Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, OPHK, have arrested two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and recovered a large consignment of motorcycle spare parts allegedly meant for Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in Yobe State.
The operation was conducted on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, following credible intelligence on the movement of supplies suspected to be destined for terrorist elements operating within the Yunusari-Mobbar general area.
According to a statement by Acting Military Information Officer, Capt. Mohammed Goni, troops of 159 Battalion under Sector 2 OPHK, in conjunction with other security elements, mobilised a fighting patrol and intercepted the consignment at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area.
Items recovered include large quantities of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, acceleration and clutch cables, bearings, brake components, gaskets, piston kits, chains, sprockets, speedometers, clutch plates, rocker arms, CDI units, coils, rectifiers and fuel-related components. Also recovered were 145 pairs of footwear and 2 Tecno Android phones.
Goni said the suspects and recovered items have been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation.
He added that the interception reflects ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist logistics networks and urged the public to provide credible information to support counter-terrorism operations.
