Several persons have been rescued after a four-storey building under construction collapsed at 333 Borno Way, Alagomeji, Ebute Metta, Lagos State on friday night.
The incident occurred at about 8:30 pm, leaving several persons trapped under the rubble.
While eyewitness accounts vary, with some saying six people were trapped and others reporting five, emergency responders have so far rescued four adult males alive and taken them to hospital for treatment.
Teams from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, and other responders quickly mobilized to the scene and commenced search and rescue operations.
The Deputy Controller General, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Ogabi Olajide on Saturday morning confirmed the development revealing that workers in the collapsed building have all been rescued.
