A viral audio recording of Olusegun Obasanjo asking Nigerian youths to occupy Nigeria, cause unrest and reject the results of the presidential elections has been leaked.
In the first viral recording, Obasanjo was allegedly heard telling Charly Oputa, aka Charly Boy to urged the youths to occupy the country and reject “rigging” of elections.
In another recording, the former President was also telling Donald Duke, a former governor of Cross Rivers States to urge the youths to reject election results, even it will result in them getting killed.
Obasanjo, Nigeria’s leader under both the democratic and military dispensations had in the build up to the 2023 general elections endorsed Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
Obasanjo had amidst collation of presidential election results released a letter accusing INEC of rigging the presidential polls.
The Electoral umpire went on to declare Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the APC as the winner of the elections .
Tinubu has since received his certificate of return as president-elect.
