Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has led other Southeastern Leaders to the 2nd Niger bridge in Anambra State to ascertain the level of work.

The delegation unanimously commended President Buhari for the level and quality of ongoing work despite the economic challenge of the Nation .

Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, the Minister of State for Education disclosed that the ongoing construction of the second Niger Bridge goes a long way to prove that the integration of Ndi Igbo at the National level and is in the people’s best interest.

He further commended Governor Uzodimma on creating the avenue for the world to see what the federal government led by President Muhammdu Buhari is doing in the south-East.

Speaking at the construction site of the second Niger Bridge, the Minister for science and technology, Ogbonnaya Onu disclosed that it is a promise made and a promise kept by President Buhari. He further commended the President for fulfilling his promise to Ndi Igbo.

For Governor Hope Uzodimma who lead the delegation, it is not just a manifestation of the dividends of democracy in the south-east, but it is a testament to the fact that the APC led Government means well for Ndi-Igbo and as leaders, they will continue to do their best to ensure that the interest of Ndi-Igbo is adequately catered for.

The second Niger Bridge is expected to be completed and commissioned in 2022 and it cannot be overstressed the benefits the Southeastern region stand to gain from the completion of the bridge both economic and social benefits.

Other dignitaries at the event include; Hon. Minister of state for steel and mining, Uche Ogah, Former governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Okakim, Speaker Imou state house of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Paul Emeziem, Various southeastern leaders, President and Secretary-General Ohaneze Ndi-igbo worldwidewide, traditional rulers, political heavyweights and southeast stakeholders were all present at the inspection and tour.

The 2nd Niger Bridge was awarded by President Muhammadu Buhari to Julius Berger at a cost of 366 Billion Naira and its 2nd 55% completed.
