The Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma has flagged off the state rural development program aimed at bringing uncommon development to rural communities in the state.

The initiative is to help drive home meaningful developmental projects to rural areas as the urban development is going on simultaneously to give rural dwellers a sense of belonging.
In order to achieve this feat and make it realistic , the state government has procured tractors, payloaders, etc for the grading of roads and this program will as well feature electrification and borehole projects for some communities in the state.
These projects will be supervised by the IMC Chairmen of the various LGAs in the state. This is to enable them focus on more projects that match their peculiar needs and as well as beneficial to their people.
Gov. Hope Uzodimma while flagging off the rural development program assured the people of the readiness of his administration to give a facelift to the rural areas and make it more attractive. He added that by so doing, the urban areas in the state will be decongested as he is ready to duplicate all socio-economic projects in the state capital to the rural areas.
There is no doubt that the rehabilitation mantra of the state government is coming to life as the rural areas are set to breath a fresh air in no distant .
