The Registrar of the National Examination Council,NECO Professor Godswill Obioma is said to have died of natural causes and not assassination has earlier reported according to Police and NECO sources.
According to reports, Obioma died in his home in Dutse Kura quarters in Minna on Monday.
Earlier report by his wife, Elizabeth Obioma,who confirmed the death on Tuesday morning said “the assassins came in and killed him and left without taking anything.”
But Police and NECO sources have debunked the assassination report, according to them the testimony by the wife that he was assassinated was untrue.
They noted that Obioma returned from Abuja on Monday morning to his house in Minna.
He never made it to the office as he was found alone in his master bedroom, sprawled on the floor, face down and was stone dead.
His brother, who stayed in Minna was invited to see the body.
