A group of unidentified individuals reportedly invaded the office of the Anambra State Vigilante Group in Amichi setting a man suspected to be affiliated with the vigilante ablaze.
The individuals also set ablaze the office premises located in the Nnewi South Local Government Area and a vehicle owned by the group.
According to an anonymous eyewitness, the individuals arrived in a large group and proceeded to set fire to a man they found inside a vehicle parked in front of the office, as well as the vehicle itself.
Witnesses stated that the attackers, numbering several, arrived at the vigilante’s premises around 7 a.m., creating a tumultuous scene before carrying out their destructive actions.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the attack, though detailed information was not immediately available.
