Dr Chukwudi Michael Okoye, a lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nukka, who was captured in a viral video being allegedly assaulted by a female student of the institution, Precious Mbakwe, has come out to share his account of what transpired.
In a video interview with the media outlet of the school, Dr Okoye who lectures in the Department of Theater Arts and Film Studies, said;
‘’I was leaving a classroom to my office when I saw the lady along the corridor. She was making a Tiktok video and I needed to pass and so I just tapped her and said excuse me and walked off.
“When she made that insulting comment, I had to come back to first ascertain if she was my student in the department and then I noticed it was a Tiktok video and needed her to delete it,.
“I actually asked her to delete it right in front of me. When she refused, I stretched my hand to confiscate the phone and that was when all hell was let loose”
He stated that he would no longer comment on the matter as he awaits the investigation panel set up by the school to investigate the incident.
