The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi has announced plans to establish a Lead Processing Plant at Umobuna, Ohaozara Local Government Area of the State.

The Governor announced this while playing host to a delegation of Ohaozara Local Government Area who paid him a Christmas homage at his Uburu country home.

The Governor who thanked the Council area for standing by him in thick and thin expressed hope to massively transform the state before his administration winds down.

The leader of the delegation and Chairman of the Council, Princess Nkechinyere Iyioku said they were on the homage to inform the Governor that they were in support of his administration and defection to the APC.

“Your Excellency, before you, are your brothers and sisters, the people of Ohaozara Local Government Area, your Excellency, we have not had it so good before, we are proud of you, your going to APC is divine and we are united and happy for it, we will continue to support you and wherever you are, there we shall be all the time.

Other stakeholders of Ohaozara, Commissioner for Local Government, Chief Samuel Okoronkwo and Commissioner for Health, Dr. Daniel Umezuruike thanked the Governor for transforming the area and promised to continue to support his administration.

Also, the Governor while receiving leaders of Ohaukwu and Ikwo Local Government Areas commended the two Councils for supporting his administration and particularly praised Comrade Chinedu Ogah for being a pillar of support to the Government.

Leaders of the Council areas Chairman of Ohaukwu LGA, Barrister Clement Odah, Chief Okeagu Ogada and Comrade Chinedu Ogah called on Governor Umahi to make himself available to serve the Country come 2023.

Governor Umahi said construction of Umuoguduoshia road, the Abakaliki ring road among others would commence in the first quarter of 2021.

Leaders of other various groups that paid homage to the Governor including Dr Ngozi Obichibukwu of Rachel Umahi Women, Raymond Okoro of Nigeria Youth Council, Captain Fidelis Ogodo and a delegation of MDAs Professor Ogbonnaya Obasi, Commissioner for Fertilizer Blending Plant; Mr. Obasi Abara, Commissioner for Work and Transport; Mr Fidelis Nweze of Infrastructure and Concession, Chief Donatus Njoku of Solid Minerals, Chief MOSES Oshibe of Rice mill Development, Chief Offor Okorie, Chairman EBBC Governing Board and Uburu High Chiefs all commended the Governor for his transformation of the State.

Governor Umahi while responding declared 2021 as a year of massive work, completion of ongoing projects, empowerments, etc. “We must work all through in 2021.”

“To the Youths, you must understand that the future belongs to you and you must not play with it.”

Governor Umahi equally announced that Ebonyi young Engineers will become Chief Executive Officers of companies after their training in the ongoing transformation of the state. “We are looking at making Ebonyi young Engineers chief executives of smaller Companies after having garnered the practical experiences in the ongoing infrastructural developments in the state.”
