The Edo State Police Command has arrested two suspects for possession of a double-barrel gun with 2 live cartridges.
The spokesperson of the command, Moses Joel Yamu, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
He said the suspects were arrested by officers of Ugbekun Division during a stop and search along Upper Sakponba road in Benin City.
“Officers of Ugbekun Division, while on stop & search, along Upper Sakponba, arrested Collins Evbayiro 34yrs & O. Nagbagbonmuna, 35yrs for possession of a locally made cut-to-size double barrel gun with 2 live cartridges in a Toyota Yaris car no BEN 777 XE. Investigation is ongoing,” the PPRO stated.
