A Kano Chief Magistrate’s Court has sentenced two persons to five years’ imprisonment for conspiring to have anal sex (sodomy).
The duo identified as Ana’s Muritala(18) and Abdullahi Lawan(30) were sentenced by the Chief Magistrate Mustapha Sa’ad- Datti without an option of fine.
Sa’ad-Datti also ordered them to pay N5,000 each.
The convicts, who live at Kore Town in Danbatta Local Government Area of Kano, had pleaded guilty to a two-count charge of conspiracy and sodomy.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Miss Asma’u Ado, told the court that they committed the offences on Aug. 20 at Kore.
Ado said that, on the same date, at 9:00 p.m., the duo conspired and had anal sex with each other at a school in Kore, in contravention of Sections 97 and 284 of the Penal Code.
