Afrobeat singer, Wizkid buried his mum on Friday in Lagos and the event was graced by some Nigerian celebrities alongside families and fans in Lagos.
Recall Wizkid’s mother passed away on August 18, 2023 in London.
Wizkid’s mum’s burial party had a lot of important personalities in attendance including billionaires and kings. Videos showing Oba Elegushi and Tony Elumelu partying hard at the event got fans talking.
One wrote: “Your money and your talents will bring you before kings and rulers of the world!!! 🙌”
Some of the celebrities present at the funeral service were Bankole Wellington aka Banky W, Wande Coal, Tiwa Savage.
A candlelight procession in honour of the singer’s mum was held on Wednesday with Wizkid making his first public appearance following a nearly month-long period of silence as he grieved the loss.
This was followed by a wake held on Thursday where the Starboy admitted to the loss of his mother being ‘the deepest pain’ he has ever felt.
